My passion as a chef is to express the simplicity of every ingredient, infusing each dish with style and balance while retaining its essence. Cooking involves employing a variety of flavors, textures, and smells and uniting them harmoniously. Every flavor you taste is a unique expression of our region and culture.
My work has always been in the kitchen. At 15, I embraced the humility of sweeping floors before graduating to heating bread, and chopping vegetables. Ignited by my curiosity, an apprenticeship with Chef Oscar Gerardo Flores led me to the prestigious Villa Premier. Immersing myself in Mexican gastronomy allowed me to elevate my craft and expertise in signature and molecular cuisine.
As the Executive Chef of Barra de Mar in Puerto Vallarta, I now have the pleasure to serve a nuanced menu that provides the ultimate tasting experience. Under my leadership, each dish is prepared with fresh, seasonal, and regional ingredients. However, what’s most important to me is respecting the origins of every product and honoring its source.
